- How to Obtain Crypto Currencies
- Once you have downloaded the MetaMask Chrome extension and created a wallet, you will see the option to buy (+) crypto currencies. Follow the purchase steps and then please come back to this tutorial. For this tutorial we will be using the Ethereum network but you may use the Polygon network if you prefer.

Click on the Pay with Crypto button, select a package and click Buy.
Login to confirm your user information or fill out form to continue. Click Proceed to Wallet Connection.
Click MetaMask to connect your wallet. You may also use WalletConnect. WalletConnect is a service that allows you to connect your wallet using a QR code. If your wallet supports it, you can also connect with WalletConnect.
You will now see a MetaMask pop-up guiding you through the connect process.
If you do not see the MetaMask pop-up, please click on your MetaMask extension from our Chrome browser to connect.
Important: You will also be asked to give Slash permission to access your wallet. Please approve this along with the small gas fee to complete this connection process.
You will need USDT and ETH in order to make the purchase. We charge the amount in USDT but in order to make purchases, the Ethereum network charges a gas fee for any and all transactions on the global Ethereum network. This gas fee does not go to DXLive or Slash. It is charged by the Ethereum network.
What is a gas fee?
A gas fee refers to the fee required to conduct transactions or execute contracts on the Ethereum network. It is compensating for the computing power used to process these interactions. These fees are small fractions of Ethereum (ETH).
Once connected, you will see your wallet details. Here we are on the Ethereum network. The crypto currencies you have in your wallet will be displayed. You can change the network by clicking on Change.
Click on a new network in order to switch.
Select the crypto currency you want to use for payment. Your payment will be automatically converted to USDT at the best price.
Confirm the final payment amount and click Pay to complete the payment. You will see a MetaMask pop-up will you will confirm the deduction of the funds from your wallet. If you do not see the pop-up, please go to your MetaMask extension from your Chrome browser.
Once the payment is complete, a Transaction Submitted message will be displayed. Click on the Back to Payee’s Services button to return to DXLive to start your chatting.
